Our braided cable sleeves are available in standard expandable sleeving, Flexo F6 Split Sleeving, Heavy Duty Dura-Flex Sleeving and Ultra High Temperature Fiberglass Sleeving. All protect wire and cable assemblies from dirt, moisture and UV. The hot knife cutting tool cuts expandable sleeving and prevents fraying. In addition to its ability to harness multiple cords and protect cables and hoses from surface abrasion, braided sleeving also enhances the appearance and organization of electrical wiring. Braided wire sleeving can drain water effectively, so it’s perfect for protecting cables and wiring in marine settings. What is Braided Sleeving?
Braided sleeving is a fiber woven sleeve which harnesses multiple cords and protects cables and hoses from surface abrasion. Braided sleeving also enhances the appearance and organization of electrical wiring.
Where to Use Braided Cable Sleeving
Braided wire sleeving can drain water effectively, so it’s perfect for protecting cables and wiring in marine settings. Also, depending on the material it’s made from, is also highly resistant to oils, fuels, chemicals and even heat, making it the go-to wire covering for automotive, military and a variety of other applications.
It should be noted: Waytek’s braided cable sleeving isn’t meant for every application. Don’t rely on heavy-duty waterproof wire surrounded by braided sleeving for your electrical marine applications. Instead, check out Waytek’s wide variety of flame retardant marine wire and cable that exceeds US Coast Guard, ABYC and DOT requirements.
For those applications that expose your wires and cables to extreme temperatures, vibrations, and chemicals, protect them with PVC or extra heavy-duty polyolefin heat shrink tubing that is shrinkable with a basic heat gun or flameless torch.
