Newer vehicles are incorporating more electronic circuity, which requires more protection. With space at a premium, many new vehicles now use micro fuses. In addition to their small footprint, micro fuses have the capability to withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to +125°C (-40°F to 257°F), making them ideal for vehicles in extreme environments. Bussmann's series ATR (2-Blade) fuses are rated to 32VDC, and are constructed of nylon with silver-plated zinc alloy terminals. The new, space-saving fuse on newer vehicles; the ATR, 2-Leg Micro fuse utilizes the same color-coding as the ATM and ATC fuses.
