Waytek Receives Mechanical Products Stocking & Growth Excellence Award

The award was presented by Mechanical Products company in recognition of Waytek’s dedicated partnership, stocking commitment, brand promotion, and customer support.

CHANHASSEN, MN, July 27, 2026 – Waytek, a family-owned specialty distributor of automotive electrical components, has received the Mechanical Products Stocking & Growth Excellence Award, recognizing more than 12 years of partnership between the two companies and Waytek’s commitment to stocking, promoting, and supporting Mechanical Products solutions.

Mechanical Products presented the award during a recent visit by the Waytek team to the company. Over the course of the relationship, Waytek has grown into one of Mechanical Products’ premier channel partners, achieving twofold sales growth over the past six years through its commitment to product inventory, customer service, and promotion of the Mechanical Products brand.

The partnership began more than 12 years ago, when longtime Mechanical Products team member Jim Gaeding (pictured in red shirt) helped bring Waytek into the company’s distributor network. Gaeding’s dedication, integrity, and commitment played an important role in establishing the relationship and helping build a partnership centered on trust, shared success, and exceptional customer service.

The Stocking & Growth Excellence Award reflects a partnership that has continued to strengthen each year. Waytek is proud of what the two companies have accomplished together and looks forward to building on that success while continuing to provide customers with dependable products, strong inventory availability, and exceptional service.

The award presentation took on added significance as Gaeding prepares for his retirement. During the visit, Waytek presented Gaeding with an award of its own, recognizing him “In Recognition of Your Lasting Contributions to Waytek.”
